DG Air Freight Joins the World Nuclear Transport Institute as Newest Member

This July, DG Air Freight became the newest member of the World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI).

Established in 1996 by Wayne and Brad Nicholson, DG Air Freight has grown to become Australia’s premier specialist in dangerous goods transportation. This new partnership with WNTI underscores DG Air Freight’s commitment to safety, regulatory compliance and industry-leading expertise in handling hazardous materials.

Founded on Wayne Nicholson’s 26-year distinguished career in the Australian military as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer, DG Air Freight began its journey by transporting ammunition and explosives for the Australian military. Over the past 28 years, the company has expanded its services to include a wide range of dangerous goods logistics solutions, encompassing air, sea and road transport.

As a licensed Australian Customs Brokerage firm, DG Air Freight manages its customs clearances for all inbound cargo into Australia. The company is also an accredited International Air Transport Association (IATA) agent, allowing direct dealings with airlines for all export cargo out of Australia.

DG Air Freight’s extensive services portfolio is complemented by its training arm, which is an accredited provider of dangerous goods transport courses for various modes of transport. The company’s expertise is backed by its adherence to rigorous regulatory standards, including IATA DGR, ICAO Technical Instructions, UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, IMO IMDG Code, UNECE ADR, Australian ADG, US 49 CFR, and local (State & Federal) laws. This commitment to standardisation and regulatory compliance has earned DG Air Freight ISO certification for its dangerous goods standard operating procedures.
