National Energy Administration says that total electricity consumption in September increased by 8.5% year on year

According to the official WeChat account of National Energy Administration, on October 19, the National Energy Administration released the data of electricity consumption of China and other data in September.

The total electricity consumption in September was 847.5 TWh, up 8.5% year on year. For electricity consumption by industry, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 12.1 TWh, up 6.4% year on year; that of the secondary industry was 537.9 TWh, up 3.6% year on year; that of the tertiary industry was 165.2 TWh, up 12.7% year on year; and that of urban and rural residents was 132.3 TWh, up 27.8% year on year.

The total electricity consumption from January to September was 7409.4 TWh, a year-on-year increase of 7.9%, of which the power generation of industrial enterprises above designated size was 7056 TWh. For electricity consumption by industry, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 103.5 TWh, up 6.9% year on year; that of the secondary industry was 4738.5 TWh, up 5.9% year on year; that of the tertiary industry was 1395.3 TWh, up 11.2% year on year; and that of urban and rural residents was 1172.1 TWh, up 12.6% year on year.
