INMM and WNTI host over 600 PATRAM attendees in New Orleans
Over 600 attendees travelled to New Orleans, USA, to the 19th International Symposium on the Packaging and Transportation of Radioactive Materials (PATRAM 2019), which was hosted by the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management (INMM) and the World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI).

WNTI Presents at the World Nuclear University (WNU)
Representing WNTI, new Specialist Advisor Scott Edwards delivered a viewpoint and briefing entitled ‘The Transport Regulation: a global and challenging picture’, as well as ‘Safety vested on the packaging: the IAEA tests.. and others’, as well as discussing the ‘Transport surrounding issues’ within our industry.

WNTI Hosts Members in Russia, in partnership with TENEX
WNTI hosted its Semi Annual Members’ Meeting in St. Petersburg on Tuesday 21st and 22nd May, 2019. Alongside the Uranium Concentrates, Transport Security, SSR-6, HEXT and Back End Transport Working Group activity, selected members shared past Transport challenges and future focuses, for the benefit of the WNTI community.
Transportation Director for Orano TN Americas Becomes WNTI Specialist Advisor
WNTI has appointed the Director of Transportation for Orano TN Americas, Mr Scott Edwards as one of its Specialist Advisors. Mr Edwards was the Head Of Transport for Orano TN Americas from August 2015 to April 2019. Before this he was a Transportation and Packaging Project Manager within TN Americas and worked at several US Department of Energy clean-up sites. Scott will be seconded to WNTI’s Head Office in London for a period of 3 years. Amongst his duties, Mr Edwards will utilise his expertise to look after WNTI’s SSR-6 and HEXT Working Groups and will liaise with the IAEA on regulatory matters.
PATRAM Announces Nuclear Engineering International (NEI) as an Official Media Partner
Nuclear Engineering International (NEI), has been published continuously since 1956, and covers all aspects of civil nuclear power generation and its related supply chains globally. NEI is published monthly, and each issue reports in detail on a number of key subjects of importance to the world’s nuclear community.

Sellafield Becomes First WNTI Full Member
WNTI is delighted to announce that the UK Company Sellafield Limited have become our first WNTI Full Member.

WNTI WMU Student Visits London Office
As part of our commitment to future generations, WNTI sponsors a student at the World Maritime University (WMU) in Sweden. Last week, WNTI welcomed Esther Cecilia Derrick of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to London, to hear about the work that we do.
Chairman Announced for HEX-T Working Group
Further to the recent election process for a Chairman for the HEX-T Working Group, WNTI is pleased to confirm that Joel Kruehler been elected as Chairman. WNTI would like to thank Joel for his efforts to date in this Working Group and look forward to the contined success of the HEX-T Working Group.

WNTI To Exhibit At PATRAM 2019
WNTI will exhibit at Patram 2019, organised by the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management. PATRAM, the International Symposium on the Packaging and Transportation of Radioactive Materials, is a series of symposia that brings together worldwide experts from government, industry, and research organisations to exchange information on all aspects of packaging and transportation of radioactive materials.
WNTI Celebrates 20 Years Of Safe Nuclear Transport
WNTI members travelled to London to celebrate 20 years of the institute's dedication to nuclear transport safety and security. Members met at the House of Commons, to recall the events and progress during the last 20 years and in the evening, held a celebratory dinner on board The Silver Sturgeon, traversing the London Thames.
WNTI May 2018 Semi Annual Members Meeting Takes Place in London
WNTI hosted its first Semi Annual Members Meeting (SAMM) this Summer in Central London. Members convened in Marble Arch for two days of Working Group discussion, chaired by elected representatives from Sellafield Ltd, Axpo, Urenco, Cameco Corporation and International Nuclear Services (INS).
