The World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI)
and The Institute of Nuclear Materials
Management (INMM) are pleased to announce a
close collaboration of our two Institutes that is intended to
foster best practices and increased awareness in the areas of
packaging, storage, and transportation of nuclear materials.
The missions of the two Institutes, coupled with their geographical
reach, make for a strong partnership in supporting the safe and
secure packaging, storage and transport of nuclear materials.
This is a focus that is becoming particularly important in emerging
commercial nuclear markets.
Two near-term goals for WNTI and INMM are to co-sponsor transportation workshops in identified emerging nuclear markets and to support the continued success of the PATRAM conference into the future.
With respect to PATRAM, it gives us great pleasure to announce the launching of the PATRAM Proceedings website.
This website is an archive of abstracts/papers/presentations from previous PATRAMs. Currently, the website has the PATRAM proceedings from 2001-2013 which covers the PATRAM conferences that have electronic proceedings. The earlier PATRAMs with printed proceedings are currently being scanned and will be added to the website as they become available. Not having an archived proceedings website has been a chronic issue with the PATRAM community. We believe this is an important first step in preserving the important technical work that has been presented at PATRAM conferences over the years.
This website and the associated proceedings can be accessed using the following link, here
We trust that this electronic archival of the PATRAM proceedings will be useful to the broader PATRAM community. And, we look forward to seeing you at PATRAM2016 in Kobe, Japan in September.
Immediate Past President, INMM
